Daytime Emmys show love for Bonnie Hunt Show upon its exit; and other comedian nominees

The nominations for the 37th Annual Daytime Emmys came out today, with eight nominations each for The Ellen DeGeneres Show and comedian-laden The Electric Company, plus three nods for the soon-to-be-cancelled Bonnie Hunt Show. Awards will be handed out June 27 in Las Vegas, televised on CBS. Also of note for the comedy community...

• Ben Bailey is up again for outstanding game show host for Emmy-winning Cash Cab, and he'll be facing Wayne Brady (new Let's Make a Deal) in addition to his usual suspect competition of Pat Sajak, Alex Trebek and not-so-usual Carnie Wilson (for new Newlywed Game on GSN).
• Jeff Foxworthy's Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader is also up for outstanding game show.
• Clean House, with Niecy Nash and Matt Iseman, is up for lifestyle program and special class special.
• Amy Poehler is up for outstanding performer in an animated program for Nickelodeon's The Mighty B!
• Bonnie Hunt is up for outstanding talk show host, against The View ladies, Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz and Regis and Kelly.
• And comedy nerds will recognize Jason Woliner's nomination for outstanding direction in a children's series (The Electric Company).

Todd Glass performs stand-up on Bonnie Hunt Show nine days after his heart attack, talks about it

One of the people I hoped to see at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland but could not see last weekend was Todd Glass, who suffered a heart attack after performing onstage at Largo last week in Los Angeles. He's OK, thanks to Jeffrey Ross and others who looked out for him when he collapsed. And even more to his credit, Glass talked about his experience with Bonnie Hunt, in an appearance which will appear on TVs around the globe today (check your listings: 2 p.m. on NBC in NYC; 3 p.m. in L.A., but earlier perhaps where you live). I cannot tell you how happy I am that he appears to be OK now.

Glass also performed stand-up on Hunt's show, which looks like it aired before the panel session. He didn't hold back much on the energy, despite what he went through last week. Roll that clip here:

Bonnie Hunt's "Idol" audition as Kim Zolciak

This clip arrived in my inbox earlier this week, and I can safely say that this shows a different side of Bonnie Hunt than I think we've seen from her in quite some time. Buttoned-up she is not today. On her daytime talker today, you'll get to see Hunt "audition" for American Idol pretending to be Kim Zolciak, one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
